The Stories Behind The Fabulous Dukes of Dixieland: Free Zoom Jazz Class, Monday, November 13

Sierra Traditional Jazz Club is happy to partner with the Potomac River Jazz Club (Washington, DC area) in bringing you the November Jazz Class – advance registration required - with details attached and a link to register below.

The Stories Behind The Fabulous Dukes of Dixieland

After Louis Armstrong’s bands, The Dukes of Dixieland was, perhaps, the most widely admired jazz band. The Dukes was a New Orleans Assunto family creation. But tragedy struck twice, along with a lawsuit over rights to the band’s name. You’ll hear the fascinating details of the story from Deano Assunto, son of one of the band’s originators, on the next Zoom Jazz Talk (free) sponsored by the Potomac River Jazz Club that has bringing jazz and jazz education to fans since 1971.

It’s happening at 7pm EASTERN time on Monday, November 13.

Advance registration by 5pm the night of the talk is required: CLICK HERE "Eventbrite - Dukes Talk"
